Additional Landmate designs

It is important to note that these images often have part of the front cut away show the model (girl) because they were originally part of advertising designs or marketing mock-ups to sell the idea of the Landmate. Landmates are of course, fully sealed power-armors with complete NBC shielding including resistance to Hyperbaric Weapons

The model seen below is a very unusual design. Note the external joystick, cargo-lifter style controls held over from the late 20th Century. These are of a very similar sort to the ones used by Ripley in the Cargo-Loader in 'Aliens'. These controls were later given up in favor of the Master/Slave datasuit control scheme and Cyberlink controls after that. Also of not in this model is the obvious aquatic and zero-G design revealing it to be a model designed for Marine or Space use. the wierd, triple barrel underslung weapon pod or maneuver vernier pod is certainly not seen in later design models. But still the design is obviously sophisticated nonetheless. Expect to see them relegated to repair/construction, non-combat work.

In this desert model we can see the tight-seemed joints designed to keep out the ever present sand from the inner workings of the LandMate. The plain color scheme isn't exactly the desert camo we've all come to know but it should be effective nevertheless. You might be asking, "What the hell is that ice-encased skull with a spike through it in the background?" The answer is "Who knows!?!" the LandMate is still pretty kick-ass though.

Below is a very unusual model. A sort of "gladiator" model LandMate designed for a kind of Cyborg Rollerball sport (that I totally stole from the Battle Angel Alita series of manga)that is a mix of high-speed rollerderby and deathmatch. Landmates like these would have been placed in the course as extremely dangerous obstacles to avoid or destroy. In the race they might be armed with something like a giant mace or spiked chain. This sport is related to combat-cyborg, death-match, prize-fighting popular in some pacific rim countries. (Which I also stole from the Battle Angel Alita series. Shamelessly, I might add! )

Shown below is a civilian racing model with racing color scheme. The right arm has been outfitted with a laser cutter revealing it to be originally designed as a construction unit. The pincer style left hand also betrays it's origin as a work model, modified for the racig circuit. It has a ground-effect/vector thrust system, you can make out the vector thrusters on the thigh. However the feet are also clearly designed as a primary mode of transportation, showing the vector thusters to be a retrofit.

Seen below is a Hermes System law-enforcement model from the Von Braun Lunar Colony. Designed for Urban deployment it would normally be loaded-out with rubber bullets and serve as a patrol vehicle capable of apprehending cyber-modified crimnals. The Von Braun colony has a large population of cybernetic individuals who were instrumental in the colony's construction. These police units make every cop into a "RoboCop" capable of handling maximum law enforcement.

Below is a civilian Hermes/Vector Thrust model LandMate also from the Von Braun Colony. It is not outfitted with any integrated weponry but can certainly carry any handheld firearm made for a full conversion cyborg. Of note is it's very compact size. It is quite small, more akin to a power armor than a full LandMate. Certainly designed for civilian use and not for combat.

Below is a Lunar Military Urban Conflict model. It has a full suite of onboard weaponry. These models will be encountered on the moon and in nearby Colonies and are very well suited to their field of operation.

Show here is a Space Model with appropriate maneuver verniers on the shoulders, thighs and ankles. Based on a design originally intended for Colony repair and construction, this model featured improved armor and excellent zero gravity maneuverability.
