The assault carrier WarHammer arrives at the remote Side 7 space colony to collect the Earth Federation's new prototype battle mechs. However, the WarHammer has been detected by a N.E.O. cruiser commanded by the cunning Captain Vorstagg, who sends a team of Aasimon battle mechs into the colony. The attackers begin wiping out the Federation defenders, until The Party activates the prototype Nalfeshnee battle mech and destroys two of the Aasimons.
With most of the Federation soldiers lost in the N.E.O. attack, a new WarHammer crew is hastily formed from the party and cadet volunteers, among them junior officer Dwight Noah, who becomes the ship's acting First Officer while Sgt. Dirth assumed command. The WarHammer escapes Side 7, carrying with it the surviving prototype machines. The crew seek refuge at the Luna II base, but are instead ordered to continue on to the Federation's Jaburo headquarters in South America.

North America
As the WarHammer enters the atmosphere, an attack by Captain Vorstagg attempts to recapture the Nalfeshnee and drive the ship far off course, and as it descends over N.E.O. territory in North America. Captain Vorstagg contacts his old friend Velouria Chrysylophax, the youngest daughter of N.E.O.'s ruling family and the nominal commander of its terrestrial forces, and the pair begin pursuing the Federation vessel across the continent. But during Velouria's final attack, Captain Vorstagg leads his friend right into the WarHammer's ambush.
Sovereign Xavion Chrysylophax is devastated by the loss of his beloved daughter Velouria, but his remaining children vary greatly in their reactions. Xavion's oldest daughter Titania, supreme commander of the NEO military, turns Velouria's funeral into a propaganda rally. Younger daughter Gloriana dispatches the ace pilot Menion Ravenlocke to avenge Velouria by hunting down the WarHammer. And Xavion's son Victor, learning that Captain Vorstagg has been discharged for his failure to protect Velouria, recruits him into his own service.

Operation Odessa
Though the War Hammer has now escaped N.E.O.-controlled North America, its journey is far from over. The ship is ordered to continue west and join Operation Odessa, a major offensive in which Federation forces led by General Arcturus hope to capture N.E.O.'s Central Asian resource mines. As the WarHammer makes its way towards Odessa , its crew must deal with both Menion Ravenlocke's pursuit and the new threat of N.E.O.'s elite Black Tri-Stars team, and many of their comrades fall in battle.
The Odessa campaign ends in victory for the Federation, and N.E.O.'s terrestrial forces begin to collapse in its aftermath. The WarHammer resumes its westward journey, pausing at a Federation base in Belfast, Ireland where the crew are introduced to their patron General Arcturus. Here they also draw the attention of their old enemy Captain Vorstagg, now the commander of a N.E.O. submarine squadron, who follows the ship as it continues on to Jaburo.

Jaburo
At last the WarHammer arrives at Jaburo, the Federation Forces' underground headquarters in South America. Here the Federation has already begun production of mass-produced battle mechs based on the Nalfeshnee, and is preparing to launch a counteroffensive against N.E.O.'s home territory in space. The WarHammer is assigned to take part in this new campaign.
Meanwhile, Captain Vorstagg locates Jaburo's hidden entrances and summons an airborne force from North America to assault the Federation stronghold. The attack fails, and the rebuilt Federation fleet is then launched up into space, with the WarHammer acting as a decoy to divert the N.E.O. forces that wait in orbit.

Encounters in Space
The WarHammer proceeds to the neutral colonies of Side 6, where The Party meets Laylah Süng with whom the Esper Character feels an instant rapport. The ship then continues on to rendezvous with the Federation space fleet for an attack on N.E.O.'s Solomon space fortress. Solomon commander Gloriana Chrysylophax attacks the Federation fleet in a powerful new heavy Mech, the future hinges on whether or not she is defeated by The Party's Nalfeshnee.
If they win the Federation Forces occupy Solomon and turn it into a staging area for the next phase of their space offensive. The WarHammer is sent to patrol the perimeter, and encounters enemy forces at the abandoned Texas colony. Here Marianna Shelley Vorstagg confronts her long-lost brother Captain Victor Byron Vorstagg, who has sworn to avenge their father Karl Rothschilde, the true founder of the N.E.O. nation, by wiping out the usurping Chrysylophax family.

Operation Star One
The Federation armada gathers for Operation Star One, an attack on the space fortress Tanelorn that guards the N.E.O. homeland. But the fleet comes under attack from an experimental heavy Mech controlled by a powerful Esper. Its pilot is none other than Laylah, who, despite her psychic bond with the Party's ESPer, is prepared to sacrifice her own life for Captain Vorstagg's sake.
Meanwhile, the war-weary Sovereign Xavion has decided to make peace with the Federation. But just as Xavion approaches General Arcturus's fleet, his scheming daughter Titania targets them both with the N.E.O.'s ultimate weapon, a huge laser cannon called the Solar Ray. In the wake of this disaster, the WarHammer and the other remnants of the Federation fleet regroup for a desperate assault on Tanelorn. Here the surviving members of the Chrysylophax family will make their final stand, and here The Party and Captain Vorstagg will face each other in battle one more time...
Year 0080
Cyclops AttackThe Principality of N.E.O.'s elite Cyclops Team stage an amphibious assault on a Federation base in the arctic circle. They quickly overrun the base defenses, but are unable to prevent The Party launching a space shuttle carrying the Federation's newest prototype battle mech, the Baatezü. The shuttle ascends into space, leaving Cyclops Team commander Steiner Totenkopf to mourn the loss of one of his pilots in this failed mission.
Libot Colony
The space colonies of Side 6, which declared their neutrality early in the conflict, have thus far been spared the destruction of war. The Party, temporarily stationed at Side 6's Libot colony, passes their time after the escape from Arctic Base in Christmas R&R leave.
To win a bet with a rival squad, The Party infiltrates Libot's spaceport in search of proof that the Federation Forces now have top-secret new battle mechs, but all they find are mysterious cargo boxes. The next day the colony is raided by N.E.O. forces, and The Party encounters a reluctant young N.E.O. pilot named Werner "Bernie" Wiseman. Just before he's picked up by his departing comrades.
Granada
The N.E.O. forces return to the Granada lunar base, where they determine that the cargo boxes seen by Werner are the same ones that were loaded onto the shuttle at the Federation's arctic base. Bernie is assigned to the Cyclops Team as a replacement pilot, and the team is then sent to infiltrate Libot and track down the hidden Baatezü.
Operation Rubicon
The Cyclops Team successfully enter the Libot colony, hijacking several Landmates from a local shop and dealer. But no sooner have they arrived than the Party recognizes Bernie and follows him to the Cyclops Team's hideout where they are ambushed and captured. To keep the Party from interfering with their mission, Steiner assigns Bernie to guard them and keep them prisoners, and Bernie decides to defect and let's them escape. Fearing execution for dereliction of duty, Bernie shadows The Party, the Cyclops Team at last locate their target and launch Operation Rubicon, Bernie will be facing The Party in battle not realizing that these are his friends.
Christmas Day
With the Cyclops Team having failed in its attempt to destroy the Baatezü, their commander at Granada decides on a brutal contingency plan - a nuclear attack on the Libot colony. With only days remaining until Libot is annihilated, Bernie, the Cyclops Teams's last surviving member, decides to destroy the Baatezü in order to save the colony.
The Party and Bernie hastily repair Bernie's damaged Aasimon battle mech, which was shot down during the initial raid on Libot, and Bernie suggests an ingenious strategy to defeat the Baatezü. On Christmas day, mere hours before the impending nuclear attack, Bernie sets out to battle the Federation's Baatezü, the party must throw the fight convincingly enough to fool the enemy command. Faking the destruction of their beloved mecha, the Baatezü to save the millions of lives aboard the colony
Year 0083
Torrington Base
The assault carrier Albion, replacing the decommissioned WarHammer, destroyed at the Battle of Tanelorn, arrives at an Earth Federation base in Torrington, Australia, bringing with it a pair of new T'aanarii battle mechs developed by the civilian company Anaheim Electronics. However, the Albion's arrival has been anticipated by renegade soldiers of the Principality of N.E.O.. Just after the T'aanarii TP02A is loaded with a live nuclear warhead from Torrington's arsenal, the N.E.O. ace pilot Anavel Ravenlocke seizes the mobile suit and flees the base.
The Party takes the controls of the T'aanarii TP01 and sets out in pursuit of the stolen machine. With the support of Anaheim engineer Nina Harrington, The Party prevents Ravenlock from escaping into space, only to see him make his getaway by sea instead.
Pursuit
The Party are transferred to the Albion, which is now assigned to recapture the stolen T'aanarii and its devastating warhead. The ship makes its way to Eastern Africa, where Ravenlocke has made contact with a group of N.E.O. renegades whose HLV capsule can carry the T'aanarii TP02A into orbit. Ravenlocke's allies attack the Albion to buy time for his escape, forcing The Party to continue their pursuit into space.
Ravenlocke returns to the N.E.O. renegades' hidden headquarters and presents the captured T'aanarii to rebel leader Aiguille Delaz d'Azul. As Delaz broadcasts a declaration of war against the Earth Federation, the pursuing Albion is intercepted by the forces of Delaz's new ally, the sinister Sedrik Gerhauser. The Party ignores Nina's warnings and takes the improperly configured T'aanarii TP01 into space combat, where it is all but destroyed at Sedrik's hands.

Von Braun City
The Albion retreats to the lunar city of Von Braun, where the wrecked T'aanarii TP01 is returned to Anaheim for repair and reconfiguration. The Party, put on leave for their defeat, leaves the ship and meets a gruff N.E.O. veteran named Mark Myers. After helping Mark reconstruct his prize possession, a vintage mobile armor left over from the One Year War, The Party returns to the Albion with new battle tactics from Mark, ready for battle. But before they leave the moon, they'll meet Mark again, and this time in battle.
The Sea of Solomon
Having abandoned the hunt for the stolen T’aanarii, the Albion now makes its way to the asteroid base Solomon. This is the headquarters of the Federation space fleet, which is gathering here for an upcoming naval review. Patrolling the area, the Albion interrupts a secret meeting between Sedrik's fleet and a Federation admiral, and one of the party's battle mechs is fatally damaged in the ensuing skirmish.
The naval review begins, and the Delazs Fleet launches a full-scale attack on the Federation fleet. Meanwhile, Ravenlocke maneuvers the T'aanarii TP02A into position and launches its nuclear warhead into the heart of the fleet, destroying or disabling three-fifths of its vessels. In the aftermath, The Party intercepts Ravenlocke and the two rivals fight a fierce duel which ends in the destruction of both T'aanarii's.

Colonyjack
Far from the Sea of Solomon, Sedrik's fleet seizes a pair of space colonies which are being transferred between Sides. Colliding the two colonies together, they set one of them hurtling toward the moon. Back at Solomon, the remnants of the Federation fleet are hastily reorganized and dispatched in pursuit of the runaway colony.
The Albion proceeds to the Anaheim Electronics dock ship "La Vie En Rose", where a final prototype T'aanarii is under development, only to find that the Battle Mech project is now under the control of a sinister new Federation faction. The Albion crew manage to escape with the T'aanarii TP03 - and not a moment too soon, for the runaway colony has now been redirected toward Earth, and Ravenlocke has received a powerful new Heavy Mech called the Neue Ziel with which to guard it.

Operation Stardust
Escorted by Delaz's and Sedrik's fleets, the falling colony continues on its course toward Earth. The Party and the Albion strive to break through the enemy defenses and stop the colony, but they are probably unable to overcome Ravenlocke's Neue Ziel. And meanwhile, a Federation fleet controlled by a cabal of high-ranking conspirators gathers in Earth orbit to await the colony's arrival.
As the colony approaches the point of no return, a series of betrayals unfolds. Delaz finds that a trusted ally has turned on him, while the Albion crew realize that their Federation superiors are using Operation Stardust to advance their own ambitions. Through a series of revelations, the Party has no choice but to defect to the N.E.O. side.

Year Zeta
The Conflict Begins
A N.E.O. full conversion cyborg pilot who calls himself Byron Rothschilde infiltrates the space colony known as Gryps, headquarters of the Earth Federation's dreaded Titans taskforce. Confirming that the Titans are developing new T'aanarii Mk.II
The N.E.O. launch their Pegasus class carrier Argama, created from stolen plan’s of the Earth’s incredibly successful WarHammer, from the Lunar Colony base of “Sweetwater”. On it are stationed The Party, talented pilots with strong feelings against Federation Forces, the Argama makes its way to the moon, where the rebels receive new weapons and supplies from their sponsors. After capturing several Federation warships, the Neo-N.E.O. Fleet gathers its forces for its first major offensive - a massive battle mech attack on the Titans' terrestrial supply base, the underground fortress of Jaburo in South America.

Vorstagg's Counterattack
5th Luna
Having seized the asteroid 5th Luna, N.E.O. intends to push it out of Earth orbit and set it falling towards the Federation capital in Olympus. As well as disrupting the Federation government, this operation will be the first step in Captain Vorstagg's master plan - using asteroid impacts to bring about a "nuclear winter" like the one said to have wiped out the dinosaurs, killing billions of Earth's humans. Earth's elites will then be forced to flee the frozen planet and join the rest of the human race in the space colonies.
The N.E.O. fleet is opposed by the Federation's "Liberty Bell" fleet. The Liberty Bell are unable to prevent 5th Luna's fall, and the asteroid strikes Olympus with devastating force, narrowly missing an ascending space shuttle.

Near the Moon
The N.E.O. fleet begins its journey back to Sweetwater, with the Liberty Bell in hot pursuit. As they approach the moon, The Party makes a side trip to the lunar factories of Anaheim Electronics to collect thier new battle mech, the mighty Baalor. But even as they do so, N.E.O. launches a sudden attack on the pursuing Liberty Bell, forcing The Party to hurry back to their comrades' rescue. In fact, the N.E.O. assault is merely a decoy operation, intended to distract the pursuers while Captain Vorstagg slips away aboard a camouflaged transport ship.
Battered by N.E.O.'s attack, the Liberty Bell limp back to their headquarters at Side 1's Londenion colony. Along the way, they pick up the passengers of a stranded space shuttle, which was knocked off course by the hurtling 5th Luna. Aboard the shuttle are the high-ranking Federation minister Adenauer Paraya.

Londenion
They arrive at Londenion, giving the weary soldiers an opportunity for rest and relaxation. Meanwhile, Captain Vorstagg and his Neo N.E.O. officials have secretly arrived at Londenion to conduct negotiations with the Earth Federation. Confident that they can buy Captain Vorstagg off, Adenauer Paraya and his fellow bureaucrats agree to give him control of the asteroid Tanelorn in exchange for the disarmament of the Neo N.E.O. fleet. After the secret meeting, The Party encounters Captain Vorstagg in the colony's landscaped fields, but he ends up escaping.
Luna II
Captain Vorstagg returns to Sweetwater, and dispatches the N.E.O. fleet to perform its formal surrender at the Federation's Luna II base. But this surrender is in fact a trick, and the N.E.O. fleet instead launches a savage attack on Luna II, wiping out the Federation fleet and seizing the base's cache of nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, Captain Vorstagg has kept part of his fleet at Sweetwater, which he now leads to Tanelorn to seize control of the asteroid... and then send it falling towards Earth.
Tanelorn
Too late, the Liberty Bell realize Captain Vorstagg's deception and set off for Tanelorn, hoping that they can defeat Captain Vorstagg's force before the main Neo ORBITAL fleet returns from Luna II. Despite their efforts, the Liberty Bell are unable to break through the enemy's defenses, and they're forced to retreat as the entire Neo Orbital fleet gathers around the descending asteroid. Now the warriors prepare for the final battle - The Party and Captain Vorstagg readying themselves for a duel whose outcome will determine the fate of all humanity...
